Symphonic Poem

Echoes from a Haunted Past

Echoes from a Haunted Past was written as an elaboration of the piano piece Natalie’s Theme (“Reflections and Recollections”, Volume 2) and further explores the subject matter expressed in the work Natalie’ s Suite for Piano and Orchestra.

Those previous works deal with issues of people coming to terms with depression, anxiety and addiction. However, Echoes from a Haunted Past is lighter than those works it derives from, almost carefree in quality.

The idea expressed in this Symphonic Poem is that there is hope at the end of the tunnel. This work is an expression of someone who has dealt with these issues and is looking back on their past in retrospect."
